Project description

Virtual Zone Nexus S.L. is developing a multiplayer virtual reality platform for Meta Quest 3 headsets. The solution makes it possible to manage shared physical spaces and synchronise the experience of many users in real time, without relying on cables, backpacks, base stations or the infrastructure usually required by LBVR systems. The project aims to make it easier to deploy immersive experiences in permanent centres, temporary venues and touring events.

Objective

The objective is to have a standalone, scalable, market-ready solution capable of running cooperative virtual reality experiences with up to 100 users in large-format spaces. To achieve this, the project integrates positioning through distributed virtual anchors, dynamic management of shared zones and real-time multiplayer synchronisation.

Project results

  • Standalone platform for Meta Quest 3, with no laptops, cables or external tracking systems.
  • Scalable multiplayer architecture for simultaneous experiences in spaces of up to 600 m².
  • Multi-anchor positioning system and dynamic management of shared spaces.
  • Functional test environment to validate stability, performance, user re-entry and event synchronisation.
  • A solution that can be added to Virtual Zone Nexus’s commercial catalogue and adapted to permanent centres, temporary deployments and international licensees.
